ELA Research Day
W dniu 20 maja 2016 r. w siedzibie Instytutu Logistyki i Magazynowania odbędzie się konferencja pod nazwą ELA Research Day. Towarzyszy ona Polskiemu Kongresowi Logistycznemu LOGISTICS & EUROLOG 2016. Jej głównym organizatorem jest Europejskie Towarzystwo Logistyczne – ELA, współorganizator Kongresu. Program przygotowuje R&D Committee ELA pod przewodnictwem prof. Hansa-Christiana Pfohla.
Obrady toczyć się będą wokół dwóch tematów:
1. Big Data – Digital Revolution in Logistics Systems
Giga Dane („Big Data”) rozumie się jako zbiory informacji o dużej objętości, dużej zmienności lub dużej różnorodności, wykorzystywane w różnych dziedzinach, dziś – coraz powszechniej - także w logistyce. Natura tych zbiorów wymaga specjalnych sposobów przetwarzania, dają one jednak ogromny potencjał wspomagania podejmowania decyzji, identyfikacji złożonych relacji w systemach logistycznych a także optymalizacji procesów. Szczególne obszary wykorzystania giga danych w logistyce to np.: optymalizacja tras prowadzona w czasie rzeczywistym, planowanie sieci logistycznych, dynamiczne planowanie i alokacja zasobów, zarządzanie relacjami z klientami, ocena ryzyka decyzji. Referaty, a także dyskusja panelowa w trakcie sesji odniosą się do kluczowych aspektów tworzenia i wykorzystywania Giga Danych w różnych obszarach logistyki.
2. Building the Supply Chain Management Organization of the Future: Critical Competencies for Delivering Breakthrough Value
Zarządzanie strukturami łańcuchów dostaw w przyszłości będzie wymagało nowych koncepcji i narzędzi w celu tworzenia zwiększonej wartości w procesach przepływu produktów. Łańcuchy dostaw muszą stać się niezwykle innowacyjne, co stanowi przedmiot badań wielu specjalistów w skali międzynarodowej. Prezentacje podejmują powyższe zagadnienia, a w szczególności prezentują nowoczesne koncepcje projektowania i zarządzania łańcuchami dostaw XXI wieku uwzględniające niespotykane dotąd wyzwania biznesowe i społeczne. Jednym z poruszanych problemów będą wyniki badań w zakresie możliwości korzystania z fizycznego Internetu oraz wyzwania, jakie stawia ten proces. Interesującym aspektem prezentacji będą także jakościowo odrębne rezylientne łańcuchy dostaw, które posiadają unikalne możliwości odradzania się z chaosu wskutek specyficznych sposobów organizacyjnego uczenia się. Dyskusja będzie toczyła się również wokół aktualnych trendów w zarządzaniu łańcuchami dostaw, takich jak omni-channels, Internet rzeczy, nowe wzorce integracji, itp.

Opening
Since 2011 he is responsible for “Supply Chain and Network Management” at the Department Law and Economics and Deputy Spokesman of the interdepartmental working group for aviation at the Technische Universität Darmstadt. Since 2000 he is also a professor with responsibility for “Management and Logistics” at the Chinese-German School for Postgraduate Studies (CDHK) in Shanghai, China. In 1996 he received an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Pannonia in Veszprém, Hungary. There he lectures as a Guest Professor in the Field of International Management. He also lectures as a Guest Professor in the field of Logistics at the Wroclaw University of Economics, Poland, and at the Vietnamese German University (VGU) in Ho Chi Minh City. In 2011 he received the Order of Merit of the State of Hesse (grade: ribbon). Besides General Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management is Professor Pfohl’s main research interest. Prof. Pfohl contributes very actively through his research activities to new development in General Management and to the development of logistics concepts. He cooperates intensively with companies of all sectors in applied research and consulting projects. Furthermore, Prof. Pfohl is head of the interdepartmental committee of “Air Traffic” at the Technische Universität Darmstadt. He is the head of the Research & Development Committee of the European Logistics Association (ELA) and member of the ELA Board. He is also a member of the Editorial Board of the scientific journals “Logistics Research” and “The International Journal of Logistics Management“. His two books “Systemy logistyczne” (“Logistics Systems”) and “Zarządzanie logistyką” (“Logistics Management”) have been published in Poland by the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing. |

The Industrial Data Space: Reference Architecture for Data Supply Chains
Professor Dr.-Ing. Boris Otto holding the Audi-endowed chair of Supply Net Order Management at TU Dortmund University (Dortmund, Germany) and he leads the Fraunhofer Innovation Centre for Logistics and IT, a collaboration between 2 Fraunhofer Institutes in Dortmund. Boris Otto is the Fraunhofer lead for the Industrial Data Space initiative. The initiative aims at establishing a virtual space in which companies can share and use data while never losing control and sovereignty of their data assets. The Industrial Data Space is supported by the German government and leading companies from various sectors. Adoption on European Union level is highly envisaged and encouraged. Prior to his current positions, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers, SAP and the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering (IAO) in Stuttgart (Germany). In 2012, he completed his post-doctoral qualification (habilitation) at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) in the field of Enterprise Data Quality Management. He received a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart (Germany) and holds a Dipl.-Ing. oec. degree from the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg (Germany). In 2011 he spent a year abroad as a research fellow at the Tuck School of Business at Darmouth College in the US. Boris Otto is member of the Scientific Advisory Board of eCl@ss, one of the leading product classification standards. Since 2013 he is partner at Business Engineering Institute St. Gallen AG (Switzerland). |

Moderation & Sequence Introduction Session 2: “Building the Supply Chain Management Organization of the Future: Critical Competencies for Delivering Breakthrough Value”
Danuta Kisperska-Moron is a professor at University of Economics in Katowice. She is the head of the Chair of Economic Logistics at the Department of Management. Her main areas of interest include supply chain management, customer service, logistics in services, social responsibility in supply chain and logistics. For many years she has been the president and deputy president of the Polish Logistics Association and is a member of the Research Committee of the European Logistics Association. For many years, she has also been a member of the board of the International Society for Inventory Research. Professor Kisperska-Moroń has run many national and international scientific-research as well as didactic programmes in the area of logistic process management and supply chain management. Since the year 1989, she has participated actively in research projects completed within the framework of the Global Manufacturing Research Group. As the visiting professor, she has given didactic classes and run research projects at Cranfield University and University of Glasgow in the UK and at Lund University in Sweden. In the years 1994-95 she was awarded the Fulbright Foundation scholarship at Pennsylvania State University (USA). She is the author of many scientific articles in Polish and foreign journals and published many books regarding logistics. |

Eric Ballot is full professor of supply chain management and industrial engineering at Mines ParisTech. He is the head professor of the industrial management and supply chain program. He was a visiting scholar at the MIT Sloan School of management in 2007 and visiting professor at the Hong Kong University. He serves a board member of several institution such as Déméter, PREDIT research program and is an accredited expert by Appeal Court of Paris since 2002. Eric Ballot has been leading many research projects both with the industry Airbus, Renault, Danone… and with international academic partners such as EPFL, Université Laval… He is also the author of many research papers and books chapters. His research has been awarded and recognized at several occasions in conferences and research prizes (IESM, ILS, PREDIT). He is also leading the Physical Internet Initiative in Europe with several projects funded in France and one at the European level. |

Triple-loop Learning of Resilient Supply Chains: The Next Generation of Theoretical Developments and Empirical Insights
Dr. Artur Swierczek is Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management at the University of Economics in Katowice, Poland. In the spring semester of 2015, he also held a position of Visiting Professor in the Department of Supply Chain Management at Arizona State University. Artur received his Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management (2006) and MS in Management and Business Logistics (2001), both from the University of Economics in Katowice. Additionally, he holds a B.A. degree in Computer Science (2003) from the Silesian University. His scientific activity covers the following major research streams: competitive advantage of supply chains, strategic role of supply chain collaboration, supply chain risk management and managing the resilient supply chains. Artur has presented research papers on more than 50 conferences, symposiums and scientific meetings in the USA, UK, Canada, France, Indonesia and Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Turkey, Sweden, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania. He has also conducted courses in a number of universities in Europe and Asia, including Universiteit van Tilburg in the Netherlands (2007, 2008, 2010), Okan University in Istanbul, Turkey (2008, 2009), University of Ljubljana in Slovenia (2009), Eylul University in Izmir, Turkey (2011), Maltepe University, in Istanbul, Turkey (2012), W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University, USA (2015). |
